Prototype shop
grown into a partner
Prototier-1 has been manufacturing precision metal components since 1996.
We started as a prototype shop. We grew into a production partner because the clients who trusted us with their first articles kept coming back when it was time to run parts.
We're not a large shop. We're a focused, capable operation with the equipment, the experience, and the attention to run complex programs well, the kind that don't fit a high-volume progressive die shop or an overseas supplier on a long lead.

What We Do
Every operation,
under one roof
Metal stamping and forming is the core of what we do. We design and build tooling in-house, run parts across 15 presses from 40 to 600 tonnes, and handle laser cutting, CNC machining, welding, and assembly alongside the forming work. Every production run is verified on our own CMM equipment before it ships.
Our clients are engineers and purchasing managers at Tier 1 manufacturers. They bring us programs that need tight tolerances, complex geometry, and consistent quality across every run. That's the work we've built our shop around.

We've built long-term relationships with Dana, Magna, Flex-N-Gate, Multimatic, Hormann, Filtrek, and Clover Tools, to name a few. Some have been working with us for over a decade.
We also manufacture all of the aluminium and metal components for CanadaDocks, our sister company.

Complex parts demand more than a press and a die. We run the design and manufacturing software a Tier 1 program expects.
From early-stage CAD and forming simulation through CAM and CMM verification, the same digital tools we use to win the work also keep it consistent across every run.

Where We Are
Beeton, Ontario,
since 1996
Our 24,000-square-foot facility sits north of Toronto in Beeton, Ontario, Canada. All manufacturing is done in-house, on our own floor, so we control quality and timing from tooling design through final inspection. We serve clients across Ontario and beyond.
